Soooo... I know that I have skipped the past four months, but I honestly was not able to open a book and read it. However, as school ended, and as I've gotten back into my book buying addiction, I've been reading quite a few books! Here are the books I've devoured in the month of June.
1. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, by J.K. Rowling
In honor of the movie coming out in November, I had to give this book a quick reread. Getting back into the wizarding world was such a great feeling, and if anything, it made me want to watch the movie 100 times more now. It also made me feel the urge to preorder the script for the movie... 5/5.
2. Eleanor & Park, by Rainbow Rowell
FINALLY! You guys know I've been wanting to read this books for ages now, and it seemed like I was never going to get my hands on it. However, I just found this at the thrift store not long ago, and immediately started reading it. As much as I enjoyed the overall story, I couldn't help but find it slightly generic. Maybe it's just me, but because I've read so many Y.A. love stories, finding an original one seems hard now. 4/5.
3. The Lost Hero, by Rick Riordan
Guys guys guys... I may like the Heroes of Olympus more than the first series!!! I can't believe that I hadn't picked these books up sooner, and I keep hearing that the first book is the worst in the series, but I loved it so much! I'm halfway through the second book, and am just so excited to see the rest of the series unveil. 5/5.
4. The Kestrel, by Fayes Sewell
This is a book I received for review by the author, and absolutely adored. I have been lucky to have only received books that I have actually enjoyed by authors, and I find it is such a great way to share some lesser-known author's works to the community. I have a full review here if you want to read it! 4.5/5.
Here were the 4 books that I have read in the month of June. Let me tell you, after 4 months of not making any wrap ups nor reading progress, I am so happy to be back!
